Jack and Jill

oh yeah..after my flatmate freaked out about Jack having random bubble things in the tank she removed him and cleaned the tank 5 times and then called the 24 hr vet… I thought they were only for dogs and cats but hey u can ask about fish too and they even COME TO YOUR HOUSE IF THEY NEED TOO. Crazy right?!?!? I’m trying to become a little more sensitive…Anyway Jack now has a new girlfriend!!! JILL!!! Don’t know how we went from freaking out over one to getting another but whatever, They are SO cute together... maybe they will have babies:) I really don’t know how that process works with fish but I could just guess LOL.

What happen to EASY assembly??

After a long intensive week and weekend I can FINALLY write a blog and share some pics. My main question that I had this weekend was what happened to “JUST ADD WATER”????? After moving into my place and getting things situated I realized I have TONS of clothes (even though this is just the winter collection:). In London, there aren’t many closets so people use wardrobes... YEAH RIGHT! I can’t fit anything in there SO I had to buy a chest for extra storage(along with 5 under bed storages and two over wardrobe storages.yeah yeah i have a lot of clothes and shoes)… If I would have known that I had to do all this work I would have brought the more expensive one! Man it sucks being cheap!!!! (well..only sometimes lol).

OMG...what am i suppose to do with this.. WHERE IS MY BROTHER WHEN YOU NEED HIM..

AFTER ONE HOUR!!!!!

AFTER TWO HOURS!!!!!!(and still not finished)
also working on this lighting thing...would love the advice:)

Okay...so i had to slack a bit but i did all this with a HAND SCREW DRIVER!

Oh please don't let this thing fall apart!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR. KING

What’s the first thing you think of when MLK day comes around???
....um….lets think…..WOHOOOO….a day off work…(unless you are where I am..no day off for me)
Okay seriously…this day if any has really made me take a step back and think about where we came from;especially this year. And when i refer to "we" I'm not just talking about African Americans. It’s more than just a routine holiday but a mere symbol of a long standing struggle. A struggle that is not over but in time is growing. I appreciate the voice that was given by Dr. King and what he represented. Now it’s not just about race but what do you do to contribute to make this world “equal”. Furthermore will we ever become “equal”???? When is the last time you evaluated your actions?
He had a dream and I’m beginning to live mine….so THANKS

I took this picture when I first got my camera and I just ran out of things to snap…so this is what I did... didn’t think I would ever do anything with it…go figure… LOL..

Our New Flatmate

IT’S THE END OF THE WEEKEND…... I’m so Sad!!! Okay now that I’m over that LOL. Next week is a very historical week for the USofA..and unfortunately I’m not even in the USA. That SUCKS!!!! Anyway; I’m super blessed and favored to have a wonderful new roommate here in London. A few days ago we got another roommate… I promised Randy I wouldn’t stay with a man while I was here but he’s an exception… He’s short and dark skinned and has big beautiful eyes. His name is Jack Finnagus (my flatmate named him). He’s SO cute..and he loves my camera, such a poser.

Trying to see the lighter things of Life....

Well as I received some not so happy, bad, disturbing, upsetting news yesterday; I’ve been doing all I could to see the lighter side of life. But this bloody -2 weather and the fact that it gets dark at 4pm doesn’t help. Going to work I don’t get to take my camera although I really wish I could because I see some really fantastic things on the way. Everybody would look at me crazy and wonder why the heck this tourist is on the bus this early…A few things that amused me…

* I saw a REAL milk truck yesterday. It had real glass milk jars that looked sooo old school..I was wondering if a dry ice truck would follow but it didn’t LOL..

*I also learned that if you throw the peace sign backwards it means F>C% OFF….LOL… Where I’m from that also mean “deuces” or “I’m out” HA not in London..

*They STILL wear those silly wigs and clothes in court… I was tripping when I walked in and saw a black man with a blonde wig…. It totally lightened my day.. LOL

*LEGALLY children can go to a restaurant and drink alcohol with their parents at 15! HA try that in America and we are reporting you to child protective services!

*OH let's not forget this one... Just in case you didn't know, this device has wonder outcomes on AFRO-Caribbean hair (Translation: The Naps) ..LOL it's a electric straightening comb..I'll get you one Brittney LOL!!!!!

The Beginning...

So…..the time has come and I’m finally across the pond! The time has also come for me to post at least one entry…gees! Maybe I should have called this the “can’t sleep blog” because seems like the only time I get to write..anyhow…It’s been a long, exciting, stressful, and exhausting adventure.
This is supposed to be a photo blog however I haven’t unpacked my “Beauty” since I’ve arrived. Could be because of the bloody weather outside! I’m trying to get to a point where I can pull my hands out of my jacket pocket yet alone steady my body from shivering to get a good shot. They say it hasn’t been this cold in London in 15 yrs!! Go figure..out of all 15years I decided to pick this year. Sounds like something I would do.LOL. I promise to get to taking a few one of these days. Until then, you can take a look at me being a great videographer, demonstrating what 75 British pounds ($112)a night gets you in a “posh” area of London… FYI…there is no editing to this video LOL It’s really this size.
